Qmail Messenger requires access to certain information to function as an email client:
- Google Account Information: When you sign in using Google Sign-In, we collect your email address and possibly your name and Google User ID as provided by Google. This is used solely for authentication, identifying your account within the app, and connecting to the Gmail API.
- Email Data: To provide email client functionalities, Qmail Messenger accesses your Gmail data via the official Google Gmail API. This includes reading emails, sending messages, and managing labels (read/unread, starred, archived, etc.).
Important: Your email content and account data are processed securely between your device and Google’s servers via the Gmail API. Qmail does not store your email content or password on any external servers. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using platform-specific secure storage.
Data Processing and Storage
- Processing: Email data is processed locally on your device as needed to display, send, or manage emails. It may be cached temporarily for performance or offline use.
- Storage: We do not store your email content on our servers. Tokens are stored securely on your mobile device and used only for Gmail API communication.

Data Sharing and Disclosure
Qmail Messenger does not share, transfer, or disclose your Google user data with any third parties. Your data (emails) is transferred directly from Google's servers to your device (your phone) and is never stored on or passed through our servers. We do not sell your data. Data is only used within the app to provide you with email functionality.
Security
We prioritize the security of your data within the Qmail Messenger app. Secure local storage is used to handle authentication tokens. However, please note that no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we take appropriate measures to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
Qmail Messenger is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
